Winelands Built Environment Professionals
Meeting Invitation Thursday, 28 June 2018
Guest Speaker
Greg Segal from Professional Illumination Design
Presentation Topic:
Human Centric Lighting
The ability of LED’s to be controlled in colour and intensity as well as energy consumption has allowed lighting system designers to manipulate the resulting light in ways we could only dream about in the ‘good old days.’
The presentation will unpack and explain the reasons that allow the full potential for new ideas in lighting to be brought to our living spaces.
We will ‘join the dots’ and understand why these are so important.
Good quality lighting is a vital component in the way we work, study, heal and play.
We will touch on “Colour tuneable white light” as well as “Warm on dim” technologies amongst others.
Are these “gimmicks or will they really make a difference?
